I first bought the Bestek 300 watt pure sine wave inverter and liked it so much that i bought this unit when it came out & only had a few reviews because i had faith in the brand.
I saw power out put as rated by my Kilo-watt meter read as low as 102 volts with a heat gun loaded up 950 watts and as high as 117.5 volts with just about no load, the meter showed 59.9 hertz most all the time with occasionally reading 59.8 and only a few times did it read 60 hertz even

it has powered everything i wanted it to and more, my kitchen LG refrigerator (4yrs old) & garage fridge (13 yr old old style compressor type high load starting) a 6yr old HE front load washing machine & my house furnace, yes the home furnace! i rewired the furnace by removing the Romex and wiring a 12 gauge heavy duty grounded plug as its input then wiring the Romex into a standard plug the the heater can plug into.
My furnace is a high efficiency 90%+ variable speed natural gas furnace that uses about 500 watts on the low and 1200 watts max on the high heat setting. i powered up the furnace and let it run two heat cycles of 15+ minutes each in the low setting over a 45 minute timeline and the little Bestek worked great.
the inverters fan would vary its speed with the load, but i never even felt hot air came out.
USB ports have power with the unit powered off but of course hooked up to a battery.
Battery power input listed on the front does seem real accurate.
The output wattage also seems to read correctly accordingly to my Kilo-meter.
this even powered up the old garage refrigerator that takes at least 1070 watt load to start it, once it did i ran that fridge for over a hour, on another day i ran my kitchen fridge for 4 1/2 hours with no problems from a fully charged Interstate marine deep cycle battery.

The fan runs as soon as you power up the inverter even with no load applied (unneeded power use).
The little green power button light seems like it is only 1/3 lit, so its a little hard to see.
The power output that it list is it''s putting out 115 volts but that does not reflect the real voltage output.
The supplied power cables are really short but they worked fine with out getting even warm for me.
The 4 fuse''s it uses are a ATO (automotive style) fuse rated at 50 amps each, and i have never seen that high of amperage in that style of fuse and i worry i would have trouble getting replacements locally (luckily it does come with 4 extra''s).
There are no mounting legs or tabs of metal sticking out to allow you to mount this inverter to a solid surface.

In all reality I''d really give this 4.5 stars if possible, but i think i can trust this unit as a I have run it a good amount testing it out over the last month, i ran it hard & in case it failed i was going to return it but it passed for me.

sorry for the rambling review as i dont give many but for a product that i do like and was worried about its worth my time and hope it helps you.

I had a 1000W modified sine wave inverter I bought locally that was unable to power my Keurig coffee machine nor my cheapo "900W" microwave. This pure sine wave inverter is able to power both, and didn''t cost much more. I was hesitant to purchase this inverter because it didn''t have any reviews but let me tell you... it''s worth every penny!

The built in display on this inverter is a great feature. It tells you battery voltage and current load. My coffee machine used about 1100W and my microwave used almost 1200! Despite being over the rated output of this inverter there were no issues. I suspect this inverter has a higher peak output rating, although the manufacturer does not publish it, so it should work fine for appliances that need a lot of power to start (refrigerators, pumps, etc).

It''s worth mentioning that the built-in fan can get pretty load at full load... then again, that''s perfectly reasonable given that I was pushing the inverter very hard. At low loads and idle the fan is much quieter and sometimes even turns off.

Build quality is exceptional. The case feels solid and didn''t get warm at all. And while it''s hard for me to test without an oscilloscope I do believe it truly is a pure sine wave inverter since my microwave worked perfectly (when I tried it on the modified sine wave inverter it made a terrible noise and didn''t create heat).

The only problem with this inverter is that the included cables to go to your 12V battery are simply inadequate. While I understand that thick quality cabling is expensive, I would have happily paid $5 more to get thicker cables. The included cables got hot to the touch even though I was only using the inverter for about 2 minutes this time. I don''t even want to know what would have happened if I''d run the microwave for a longer time! And besides getting too hot, the fact that the cables aren''t thick enough caused quite a bit of voltage drop... According to the display the input voltage went to 10.X V instead of the 12.6 V my battery was at. While obviously the voltage will go down if you''re demanding a lot of power from the battery, it shouldn''t go that far. With better cables I expect to see at least 12.0 V under load.

Overall, I recommend this inverter, although it''s not a solid 5 stars... more like a 4.5, due to the included cables being a fire risk. Just keep in mind that in addition to buying the inverter you''ll need to pick up some good cable, 2 gauge at minimum, 1/0 or 2/0 would be better.

This is a surprisingly lightweight inverter for the power it provides. I was able to drive it at max output and it didn''t skip a beat and it doesn''t overheat and actually stays cool. My only gripe is the accuracy of both the DC power and voltage shown on the display. They seem to run either low or high depending upon power output. Worst case I saw about a 20% error but this really doesn''t matter much to me. I almost forgot to mention, the included cables are a bit too thin (and will get hot) if you use over 750 watts. I''d suggest using 6 gauge or lower.
I checked the power output using my oscilloscope and it is indeed an absolutely smooth sine wave.

I prefer quality of an item over sacrificing terminal post sizes and I have always loved this brand until I had this unit. I will say the company stands behind the warranty etc, but I want to emphasize importance of things here, the lugs bolt on rear where that happens is a weak point on this unit, I had noticeably lose posts even when fully tightened, upon trying it started shorting out, something inside was loose, now I’m out a brand new inverter in a time of need, I had to notify amazon they offered to refund which is great, I only used this one night, until I noticed the problem, it was on the negative side, that loose screw was terrible and couldn’t be tightened. I want to say this was great, but the posts /lug area, are way to small to be considered a great inverter. It’s for temp use short term, I would never buy this inverter again. When you depending on power, these companies need to listen to us, we need heavy gauge posts, and terminals, we need a robust unit, something that doesn’t power down every minute a second issue I was having, also seriously consider heavier duty inverters for this is outrageously priced compared to alternatives, with that said, I will comment on the lightness, it’s light like a flash light or tiny lamp, it’s platicky, it’s not durable, it easily bumped, the posts ring area don’t have a any safety ring under them or protections, it’s completely bare, the fuses are easy to find but again to close to other things, they need to be on top for easy access, plastic rings need replaced with wingnuts at a minimum. This almost burned down my RV. I appreciate them accepting a return but wow is this terrible, those tiny inverters are better than this version I had the 1000,and 1200watt versions, one was from Walmart, it also had an issue with stability shutting down under any loads, again why, other smaller inverters ran fine. It wasn’t a one off issue, please retool this item.

Noticed battery was getting low. I turned off the unit and connected it to another battery to continue to use the unit. The unit never turned back on. The green power light just kept blinking. Instructions lack any information on this issue. Being this unit wouldn''t power up no longer, we had to leave our trip as we couldn''t use the needed oxygen machine. Returned the unit and was refunded but still lost money on a non refundable trip. Upon further research from various other sites, I see that others have the same issue with this brand. Needless to say, I would not recommend this product due to the fact it seems bestek inverters have a spontaneous failure rate. I sucked it up and purchased a different brand with more power for only a few bucks more and it has performed much better than this unit.

I purchased a slightly cheaper 1000W modified sine wave inverter, while this was fine for running my refrigerator, I was unable to power my Cyberpower UPS. The device was not able to correct for the square wave output of the cheaper inverter and did not deliver a clean output to my networking equipment. Further research lead me to sine wave inverters such as the BESTEK. This unit was partically attractive because it was cheaper than other inverters and had a battery clip (For quick connection to a car battery). I plan on using this to power my refrigerator, UPS, and possibly some lights when experiencing a power loss for more than an hour. I was able to power everything without any problems.

The unit itself outputs around 115-116V with around 12.5V input, and slightly higher 117-119V at around 14V input when my car is running. The voltage measured at a consistent 60.5Hz, which is slightly high but shouldn''t matter much if isolated from the grid. It doesn''t seem to make much noise but I''m also using it in the engine bay of my car so it doesn''t matter much.

I feel as though the intentions of this small inverter is to leave it in a car and quickly connect it to the battery when needed. I would STRONGLY recommend also having a second car and jumper cables or a small USB jump starter in case the battery runs low. Every battery has different capacities so for short outages, you won''t need to keep the car running, but for longer outages I would start the car for a period of time every few hours. My car struggled a bit to start with the inverter connected under load, so disconnect it first before starting the car.

If anyone is interested, I am using this inverter to power a CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD. My networking gear includes a PC tower running pfSense as a router, a file server running Unraid which also runs a Unifi controller, a Netgear switch, Netgear CM600 cable modem, and a POE injector for my Unifi AP. The UPS lasts about an hour under a 150W load, which is enough time for me to hook up the inverter. Everything seems to run off the inverter fine.

Since most modern devices won''t run off of a modified sine wave inverter (Or will run, but may actually get damaged from the "dirty" power), this is worth the money. 1000W is enough to at least run a refrigerator and networking gear (Usually internet will work when a cable modem is powered, even during an outage). I will be keeping this in my car for road trips too, it should be enough to power all mobile devices and more.

I have ran a dehumidifier that pulls 550 watts for a few minutes at a time for about 24 hours and it does not heat up at all under that load but the air blowing out of the unit is slightly warm.

I have also used it to power my large capacity clothes washer several times, with a peak load of 1080 watts for about two minutes. The Besteek 1000 watt true sine wave inverter did not heat up at all, and the washer worked great.

I am estimating the power loss for the inverter is around 4-5%. I am very pleased so far.

I am using 3 large deep cycle batteries with solar.

I built a small solar test bed and use this portable inverter with that to put a regular load on it, I have the 1000 watt pure sine wave version. Produces very clean power, seems to work as advertised but I haven''t tested it''s max capacity. After several weeks of use about 15 hours a day (with a lot of plugging and unplugging) the bottom plug has become intermittent. I haven''t contacted the manufacturer about it yet, I may edit after that. No fuses are out, and it doesn''t seem to be contacts, no amount of wiggling the plug gets a blip, so I think it''s something internal, but I reset it daily and change devices a lot. Some days it comes back on, then it may go all day, or may be out after an hour. I quit using it and do everything on the top. If THAT goes out I will be disappointed. I use it with 2 heavy fans that draw a couple about 190 watts each, no idea about the motor start for them but it has no issues with them. Sometimes I will use something larger but never over 550 watts total per the front power meter on the unit. I simply plugged a 3 way plug in the top outlet and it''s been marching along like a trooper. The other issue is that the gauge of wire that comes with it seems a bit low for it''s stated max capacity. I probably have never had it over 50% except start surge maybe, but if I were going to use it to drive something close to it''s limit, I would up the wire size a bit. It is good quality wire though, very flexible and very very well insulated. The non working outlet cost it a couple stars, but customer service is supposed to be great, I will adjust when I test that.
